Mackenzie, one of the master's students in the DERT Project, has recently been awarded two scholarships: a Saskatchewan Innovation & Opportunity Signature Area Award as well as CFUW Saskatoon's Jacqueline McKenzie Newstead Scholarship! Here she is presenting about her preliminary research results at the Society of Ecological Restoration North American Conference in Vancouver last October.

The purpose of Mackenzie's research is to characterize effective collaborative eco-restoration and support Indigenous rights holders and industry stakeholders involved in eco-restoration in the Western boreal forest of Canada. To date, Mackenzie has interview 17 people.
